Will We Finally See Flying Cars In GTA 5?

Will We Finally See Flying Cars In GTA 5?

For many years private companies have been making progress in adding flying cars to the real world. With Rockstar adding real world innovations to its Grand Theft Auto games, could we finally see flying cars in GTA 5? We say, why not?

Rockstar Games has put a clear emphasis on the upcoming aircraft as shown in the first GTA 5 trailer and one of the recently released GTA 5 screen shots. In the trailer we saw a whopping 6 aerial vehicles in the airspace above Los Santos, from helicopters to planes to a blimp. One of the GTA 5 screen shots released just a few days ago showed off a new police helicopter hovering above the city of Los Santos. This has obviously been great news to dogfight enthusiasts and GTA pilots alike, but could the odds finally be evened for the ground soldiers?

As we learned from GTA IV's multiplayer modes, piloting is not for every gamer. Many players did not want to get out of their comfort zone which was doing drive-by's or having gang wars in the projects of Liberty City. Others simply could not learn the mechanics of GTA IV's helicopters no matter how hard they tried. With the addition of flying cars into the GTA 5 game, instead of falling victim to fighter pilots, the ground soldiers could finally take on those that have eluded them for years. With flying cars, players would not have to learn the difficult piloting mechanics that come with the GTA aircraft. Of course in a sense, their car would be transformed into an aircraft. But we think since they are already used to the cars mechanics, it would be a much easier transition for them to become pilots in a small flying car instead of a heavy fighter jet or attack helicopter.

Check out the videos below of some real world flying cars in action. Would you like to see flying cars in GTA 5? Do you think it is a possiblity given all of the other innovations promised by the short GTA 5 trailer?

NEW GTA V Screen Shots Released By Rockstar Games!

NEW GTA V Screen Shots Released By Rockstar Games!

After over 8 of months of silence, Rockstar Games has finally released some more information regarding the highest anticipated open-world game in history, GTA V. Though, this information did not come with out a price, more suspense. Rockstar released two detailed screenshots of the GTA 5 game. These images didnt give us too much in terms of gameplay details but they did show off some much improved and realistic graphics. One GTA V screen shot displays two people sitting by a Los Santos city lake with a crystal clear reflection surrounded by palm and blossom trees. The other image shows off a Los Santos police chopper with what we can only assume is the GTA 5 protagonist as the pilot in the helicopter. The screen shot also shows off a large chunk of the city of Los Santos. With no sign of the large country side and mountainous area from the first GTA 5 trailer in this shot, we think it is fair to say that we are in store for a very large GTA 5 map as expected.

Rockstar Introduces A Cure For Cheaters On Max Payne 3. Is GTA V Next?

Rockstar Introduces A Cure For Cheaters On Max Payne 3. Is GTA V Next?

While most gamers are honest players who enjoy the game without the need for an unfair advantage over others in multiplayer modes, that is not the case with all players. Over the years it seems like cheating, hacking, and modding have become a trend amongst those who play games developed by Rockstar. In their latest hit title, Max Payne 3, there is a big problem with multiplayer cheaters who use unfair advantages to boost their stats by using invincibility hacks, infinite adrenaline mods, and other unfair tactis. Most game developers rush to patch these exploits or ban the offenders permanently soon after the game is released. Rockstar Games however, is taking a different approach.

The company has warned players that if they are caught spoiling the multiplayer experience for others in Max Payne 3, they will be condemned to a 'Cheater's Pool' with the rest of the 'confirmed offenders.' This goes for all cheaters, whether they're boosting their stats on the leaderboards or using hacked files or modded games to gain an unfair advantage over other players in Max Payne 3's multiplayer modes. Though Rockstar does not go into detail about how they will absolve these cheaters of their past offenses, they are offering them ONE chance to correct their behavior. If they are caught cheating again, they will be stuck in the 'Cheater's Pool' for as long as they play Max Payne 3. Rockstar will also be getting rid of 'bad' leaderboard entries to ensure that players have to actually work their way up to earn their ranks.

The developer is asking for your help to identify these cheaters. If you experience a multiplayer game where players are hacking or modding, you can email the Rockstar team at maxpayne3.banhammer@rockstargames.com. In the email, please include the console or platform that you witness these offenses on along with offender's Gamer ID and a description of the offense. If possible please include solid evidence such as a video or screen shot of the offense. Rockstar notes that they will be doing thorough investigations before taking any action and only want to hear about real cheaters. If you continue to email them with fasle accusations towards people using legit tactics such as camping or just highly skilled players, you yourself could face repercussions.

Could we see the same approach from Rockstar Games in the highly anticipated GTA V? As you may remember, GTA IV, GTA IV L&D, and GTA IV TBOGT, were all litered with modders, hackers, and turbo users in nearly every multiplayer lobby. So much so that it ruined the game for many players who gave up on GTA and looked to other games for their daily fix of multiplayer action. We think that this is a great step being taken by Rockstar to improve their multiplayer experience and would definitely like to see it implemented in GTA V.

GTA V Unveiling At Gamescom 2012?

The moment that stood out to us most was a shot from GTA V's 2011 game trailer. You are probably thinking, that alone is not enough to gamers riled up, considering there was game play footage from several games on display in the Gamescom 2012 trailer. GTA 5 Fighter Jets & Airplanes Reveiled In Max Payne 3?

GTA 5 Fighter Jets & Airplanes Reveiled In Max Payne 3?

A compilation of airplane photos discovered in Max Payne 3 have caused some stir amongst GTA 5 fans. Some of these aircraft have distinct similarities with the planes shown in the first GTA 5 trailer that was released in Novemeber of 2011. If you played Max Payne 3, then you are well aware that these aircraft are not operatable in the Max Payne 3 game. Rockstar is known for scattering hints throughout its games. Could this be a spoiler as to what we should be expecting in the upcoming GTA 5 game?

We see four different models of airplanes in this image. One is clearly some type of air combat jet which looks very much like the one seen flying through the city of Lost Santos. One looks like the private jet shown flying off into the sunset at the end of the first trailer. There was no references in the GTA 5 trailer to the other two planes shown in the picture. One looks like another private jet which seems to be on a runway. Its quite possible that it is the same model as the private jet we mentioned, just at a different angle. Finally last but not least we see a large commercial plane that holds a distinct resemblance to the non-operatable airplanes we frequently saw circling Liberty City in GTA IV.

Is this Rockstar's way of lighting a fire under pilots and flight enthusiasts? In the first teaser trailer, we saw many other aircraft on top of the fighter jet and the private plane. We were given brief glimpses of a blimp, a crop dusting airplane and a police helicopter. Also seen throughout the trailer from afar was another helicopter which was shaped like a military chopper. There was never any close up on this chopper so we cant be sure. Regardless, combine these confirmed aircraft with the possible teasers shown in the Max Payne 3 picture and we have our selves an open-world piloting game like no other! What do you think?

Analyzing The First GTA 5 Trailer

Analyzing The First GTA 5 Trailer

Its been a very slow year on GTA 5 news which has us and gamers alike growing with impatience waiting for GTA V's release. As the inevitable day gets closer we decided to do a thorough breakdown of what was reveiled in the first trailer.

Protagonist

In GTA 5's first trailer the middle aged sounding narrator asks, "Why did I move here?" The simple fact that the trailer starts with a man speaking on his life, points to him being the main character. This also has gamers asking the question, could this be someone that we have met in a previous edition of the series? Maybe the silent Claude from GTA III looking to make some noise? Perhaps it could be Vice City's aging Tommy Vercetti? Widespread rumors have been that actor, Ned Luke is the man speaking and also the main character. His supposed colleague and cousin even took to twitter confirming the actor's voice and appearance. Take a look at this video of several scenes of Ned Luke at work and decide for yourself. We see a striking resemblance between the man on the top of our website and 1:13 of the video.

Animals

On a sunny day, a couple walks along the beach with a dog which answers the long asked question, will GTA 5 hold animals? Sure we saw a dog but will there be a bigger variety of animals and will there be any interaction as we saw in Red Dead Redemption which let us not only ride horses and bulls but also hunt animals for their meat or skin which we later sold or used. Also in the shot are seagulls flying low, searching the littered beaches for the right snack.

Improved A.I. Interaction

We see some much improved movement and interaction from the A.I. players roaming the streets. Two women run along the beach and look back and get giddy when a man with no shirt runs past them in the opposite direction. Two women, one holding a man's hand are seen getting ready to climb Los Santos's highest peaks. A man sits in his convertible at a red light as a women walks past him and looks back. As a pedestrian walks down the street a man appears to offer him something and gets shooed away. The pilot behind the plane shown flying over the fields definitely has a sense of humor. He appears to purposely lower his plane as he flys over the people working the fields, leaving them in a cloud of dust. A man hops out of the passenger seat of a pest control van and signals his buddies that its time to hit up the jewelry store. We see the infamous GTA hookers make a return as they solicite a man in front of a liquor store. On a late and dark night, a drunk man getting thrown out of a night club by an angry bouncer. In broad daylight a man gets chased on foot by cops as a police helicopter tracks him from above. You can really see the much improved realistic effect implemented by Rockstar in GTA 5.

Mini Games

Rockstar is known for inserting hundreds of side activities to keep you occupied for hours even after you've beaten a GTA game. The outdoor gym along the beach trail points to Roackstar resurrecting the weight lifting system we experienced in GTA San Andreas. We get a shot of a group of pals killing a day on the golf course which gives us some relief that we wont be stuck with a fun size driving range like in Liberty City.

Vehicles & Weapons

In the car department, we see much of the same models with the exception of more modifications such as convertibles and improved features. We do see a large variety of new off the road vehicles like the Jetski a man cruises the beach waters with. There is a blimp that might be hovering above Los Santos for days at a time. We get a good shot of the glider plane similar to the one we experienced in GTA San Andreas. 18 wheeler semis have made a return so we can already imagine players speeding down the city roads in a missle on wheels, wiping out dozens of cars. There is a stunning private charter jet somewhat similar to the non-working ones parked at the airport in Liberty city. The one that has the whole GTA Pilot community buzzing is the fighter jet that was only briefly seen zooming through the city while flying low. It appears to be a military fighter airplane with 6 rocket pods which is in our opinion the best wapon to have in your arsenal when visiting Los Santos. Other then a brief shot of the pest control bandits, we were not given much information on what weapons GTA 5 may hold. Those men appeared to be carrying advanced assault rifles with surpresser tips which leads us to believe that custom modifications to weapons will be available.
